A Penycae woman says that on learning the news that she had won more than ₤19,000 on the National Bingo game she was “flabbergasted.” I think I would be too! She was playing at the Mecca Club in Wrexham at the time of the big win, but had to share the prize that night with another winner from Carlisle. The thirty-nine year old married woman said that she had a big smile although tears were pouring down her face.

The lucky lady has been playing bingo for ten years but only plays once in every four to six weeks. She wants to use some of the money to take her husband on a holiday somewhere hot and sunny, a few home improvements and the balance she will save for a rainy day.

She says that she really enjoys playing at the Mecca Bingo club and prefers it much more since it became a non-smoking club, she has also heard a lot of other people say that they prefer the non-smoking environment. It has a good atmosphere and is a nice friendly place. I am sure that many non-smokers would agree with her.
