I don’t know, we have heard that bingo is a game that is predominated by elderly ladies. However we have also heard that this trend is changing and more young men and women are getting in on the bingo action. This is proven by the fact that we are seeing more male and younger winners than ever before.

I have to admit that it is not surprising that the trend is changing, after all the prizes are really worthwhile and why shouldn’t men and the younger set have a chance at winning? One example is the twenty year old man who recently won the National Bingo Game prize of more than ₤63 000, when playing bingo at the Mecca Bingo Club in Hartlepool.

The young fella does not want to be named, but he did say that he was “amazed and shocked” by his surprise win. This man of very few words plans to pay off his debts, put a deposit down on a house, and treat his girlfriend.

It just goes to show,, the fact that he was shocked and amazed that he had won such a huge amount of cash, does not necessarily mean that he was playing bingo with purely winning in mind. Although he does not say why he was playing, I am really curious to know, was he there for the money, or was it just a night of entertainment?
